Mid-Term Break... At Last!

It's finally the mid-term break... The ten days before the mid-term break were full of tests and assignments, which meant I was kept very busy. Usually these tests were held before the mid-term break but somehow this semester, all were scheduled or due before the break. I guess this can be good in a way since it means I can get to enjoy the mid-term break (not counting the semester on exchange at Waterloo). Well, this was the case until one of my course lecturers announced there would be a quiz after the break. But then I'm not going to spend the whole of the recess studying for a 5% quiz of course. Still though, there's quite a bit to catch up since I'm lagging slightly behind in some of the courses and not forgetting that I've hardly started on my FYP! Of course, I'm glad I'm not reliving last semester where there were 2 killer modules and this semester seems much more of a breeze despite taking the same number of courses, excluding FYP.

With regards to the progress regarding her, there hasn't been much so far as we've both been quite busy, so I haven't had the opportunity to ask her out until this week. Yeah so I asked her out to cycle and she not only was okay with it, but even suggested that we mug together! Haha so now the plan now is to mug on Tuesday and cycle on Wednesday. Hopefully things turn out well then.

Flu

Down with the flu again for the 2nd time in less than a month, despite taking a flu vaccination at the start of last month.. Sigh... Nose is dripping constantly. I wonder if it's the rainy weather or the lack of sleep...

Meanwhile I can't stop thinking of her...

Nostalgia

So I went to the SMU bash at Zouk last Thursday and it was my first time there... Kind of a last-minute decision but I guess it was a combination of factors that ZL was going to fly off soon as well as the chance to see her that made up my mind... Met her for a short while but didn't talk much cos she was at the ticketing booth with her friends although she did look quite happy to see me.. Haha.. Anyway just chilled and danced till 3 plus before taking a cab back.. Messaged her at 1 plus to see if she was still around but unfortunately she left early..

On Friday night I had a sudden urge to join KH and my 4J classmates for basketball at HC the next morning cos we weren't playing volleyball on that Saturday... Actually I haven't played basketball for very long already and I think this was my second time playing in 5 years or so... Was actually considering between going for tchoukball at Kovan or basketball but in the end I decided on the latter cos I was having a feeling of nostalgia and of course, playing with friends is more fun than playing alone.. Anyway, I saw some students playing tchoukball at HC and it seems that tchoukball is gaining more and more popularity.. Really want to pick up this sport although I need to find some kakis for this...

Lost

Alright it's almost the end of August and I'm feeling somewhat lost and lagging behind so much in schoolwork already. I've been sleeping away or going out so often that I've hardly had time to touch my notes and tutorials. Yep, I've been going out with different groups of people recently - Waterloo peeps, hall volleyball people, the usual volleyball gang, primary school classmates, university classmates, secondary school buddies and so on... Been seeing so many new faces that I can't really remember everyone's names..

Tomorrow there's the SMU bash which I'm contemplating if I should go cos I have tuition on Friday afternoon followed by Ser's birthday party and then at night there's hall night cycling which I'm pretty interested in but I don't think I have the stamina for both the bash and the night cycling, so it's an either/or thing. I would really like to get a chance to meet her again at the bash but I don't really like to go to bashes and besides, she might be busy organising stuff, so I'm in a dilemma whether I should go or not, although I think I should not let such opportunities slip away (although I've already met her as recently as last Saturday during SF's birthday party). Every time I talk to her in person, I get a special feeling and it's been a long while since I've had such feelings for anyone... Well, I guess time will tell with regards to this then...

I'm considering going for hall cycling so as to know more people but I still feel like it'll take some time to know the hall people better... Even though I know most of the volleyball people by now, I don't really know them well enough to strike a long conversation when I'm with the group... I guess I tend to be reserved and will require some time to "warm up" when I'm new to a large group of people who are already quite familiar with one another, just like in JC volleyball...

Oh and KX is flying off today... Not having him as my roomie this semester is kind of a different feeling... Feel somewhat lost at times in school... Haiz...

Yet Another Rebirth

Well yeah this is yet another rebirth of my blog... I decided to keep the 2 old blogs at the old addresses as I don't feel like deleting them at the moment in case I'd like to reminisce the past in the future. Hmm I have quite a few things on my mind now but I don't really have much time to blog at the moment. Hopefully though I can readopt my blogging habit again somehow. Stay tuned then.
